Emil Johansson Returns Triumphant

After battling through four surgeries and setbacks, Swedish slopestyle legend Emil Johansson made a spectacular return to the top. Delivering a flawless first run that scored 91 points, Johansson secured his first Red Bull Joyride win since 2023 and his 14th career Crankworx Slopestyle World Championship (SWC) victory, extending his record as the most decorated SWC athlete of all time.

His victory dashed the hopes of French rider Tim Bringer, who had won the last two SWC stops this season and was aiming to capture the elusive Triple Crown of Slopestyle. Bringer recovered from an opening-run crash to put down a stellar second attempt, earning 88.65 points for second place.

German star Erik Fedko rounded out the podium with 85.9 points, marking his first SWC top-three finish since 2022. Defending Triple Crown champion and reigning Slopestyle World Champion David Godziek finished narrowly off the podium in fourth, just ahead of rising German talent Tobey Miley, who impressed in his Joyride debut after earning a wildcard at the Crankworx Summer Series SilverStar.

“It feels amazing to walk away with a fourth win at Red Bull Joyride. I’ve faced so many setbacks from injuries that I was tearing up in the finish corral after the first run today. To be back here, on this stage, means everything.”

Johansson reflected on the emotional win:
