Engen Xtreme Builds Momentum at Zwartkops’ Passion for Speed
Engen Xtreme strengthened its presence in South Africa’s motorsport arena at the iconic Passion for Speed event, building on the lubricant brand’s growing relationship with Zwartkops Raceway while reinforcing its long-term commitment to motorsport alignment.

Held on 30 and 31 January 2026, the milestone festival opened the local motorsport season with two action-packed days at the historic Pretoria circuit. Widely regarded as South Africa’s premier historic racing celebration, Passion for Speed united legendary cars, international and local drivers, and thousands of passionate fans to mark 25 years of racing heritage.

The anniversary edition delivered a standout programme featuring the BMW M Performance Parts Race Series, Legends of the 9 Hour, Classic GT and Historic Single Seaters, a Ford vs Ferrari Tribute, the Sideways Spectacle, and a Jordan Formula 1 showcase—further cementing the event’s reputation as a celebration of motorsport legacy and spectacle.

Engen Xtreme’s presence was highly visible throughout the weekend, with the brand taking ownership of the pre-race area and delivering an interactive on-site activation designed to maximise customer engagement and brand experience. Fans enjoyed a dynamic product display, participated in interactive games such as a bottle toss challenge, and entered a consumer competition—creating meaningful touchpoints across both days of racing.

The event also marked the first public showcase of newly installed Engen Xtreme branding at selected sections of Zwartkops Raceway, extending the brand’s footprint beyond the activation zone and embedding it within the circuit’s permanent motorsport environment.
