South Africa’s car culture scene is about to hit another gear as Sung Kang gears up for an electrifying appearance at the highly anticipated Gas Motorshow International 2026.
Set to take place at Suncoast Casino on 13–14 June 2026, the event promises a high-octane weekend packed with adrenaline, iconic builds, and unforgettable fan experiences.
Fans will get the rare opportunity to meet the global star behind one of car culture’s most beloved characters, with signing sessions, exclusive merchandise, and a live, exclusive screening of the 7-minute trailer of his upcoming film, Drifter.
In a video message to South African fans, Kang shared his excitement:
“What’s up South Africa, Sung Kang here. I am going to be in Durban on June 13th and 14th at Gas Motor Show… it’s going to be a fun few days of a lot of car culture… looking forward to seeing everybody.”
Adding to the hype, renowned builders Race Art—who crafted Kang’s first iconic car—are unveiling a brand-new masterpiece, the “Lola 2,” to celebrate his arrival. The build represents a powerful fusion of global influence and South African automotive excellence.
