May 30 @ 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm
South Africa’s street racing culture is heading to the strip as the highly anticipated DEZZI Raceway Street to Strip event takes place on 30 May 2026, giving real street car enthusiasts the opportunity to prove themselves in a safe and professionally timed drag racing environment.

Set to run from 12PM to 8PM, the event promises a full day of adrenaline-fuelled action as drivers line up to test their machines against the clock and against one another. Unlike traditional drag racing events built around heavily modified race cars, Street to Strip focuses on genuine street-driven vehicles ready to compete under strict regulations designed to keep the competition fair and exciting.
Organisers have made it clear that this event is strictly for authentic street cars. Vehicles quicker than 11 seconds will not be allowed to compete, while only street tyres or semi-slicks will be permitted. Competitors using cheater slicks or ET Street tyres will not qualify, reinforcing the event’s street-focused identity.
In another move to maintain the spirit of the event, trailers will not be permitted, meaning entrants must arrive in the same cars they plan to race. Safety remains a top priority, with all drivers required to wear helmets, long sleeves, and long pants while competing on the strip.
The introductory entry fee has been set at R800, while spectator tickets cost R120, making the event accessible for both racers and fans looking to experience the action firsthand. Children under the age of five will receive free entry.
With limited entries available, organisers expect strong interest from South Africa’s growing street performance community. The event aims to provide a legal and controlled environment where enthusiasts can showcase their builds, challenge fellow competitors, and enjoy a day dedicated to street car culture.
Drivers and spectators alike can expect roaring engines, competitive racing, and an electric atmosphere as DEZZI Raceway transforms into the ultimate battleground for real street machines.
