The latest announcement adds three compelling preliminary bouts featuring seasoned EFC competitors, highly decorated amateur standouts making their professional debuts, and rising talents eager to make a statement inside the Hexagon. Fans can also look forward to an intriguing flyweight clash between one of South Africa’s brightest prospects and a battle-tested veteran.
Majuba and Van Aswegen Set for Striking Battle

Pretoria’s Given “Bonecracker” Majuba returns to action against Johannesburg’s Seth van Aswegen in what promises to be an entertaining stand-up contest.
A long-serving EFC veteran representing Mamelodi Warriors under coach Moses Manaka, Majuba has built his reputation through accurate kickboxing, damaging leg kicks and relentless pressure. His experience inside the Hexagon makes him a difficult challenge for any opponent.
Across from him stands 23-year-old Seth van Aswegen, who finally makes his EFC debut after competing professionally in boxing. Representing Apex MMA South under coach Wilhelm Strauss, Van Aswegen aims to showcase his developing mixed martial arts skills while relying on his polished boxing combinations and movement.
With both athletes preferring to strike, fans can expect an explosive contest from the opening bell.
Mulumba Faces Decorated Amateur Champion
The welterweight division also welcomes an intriguing matchup between Democratic Republic of Congo fighter Kabongo Peter Mulumba and Cape Town prospect Mutabi Shindano.
Mulumba, representing Mustang Athletic under coach Wayne Raman, enters his third EFC appearance searching for his first professional victory after competitive outings against Armando De Crescenzo and Alex Suzuki. Known for his judo background and powerful striking, he hopes experience will prove decisive.
Standing opposite him is one of South Africa‘s most accomplished amateur competitors. Training under former EFC lightweight champion Don Madge, Shindano begins his professional journey after compiling an impressive 8-2 amateur record and capturing the IMMAF African middleweight championship. His boxing pedigree and championship experience make him one of the division’s most exciting newcomers.
The contest pits professional experience against elite amateur success in a fascinating welterweight clash.
Vilakazi Looks to Continue Winning Momentum
The preliminary card also features a flyweight showdown between Siyanda “Bhubesi” Vilakazi and Story Mpia Embombe.
Vilakazi, another representative of Mamelodi Warriors, returns after earning a significant submission victory at EFC 133. While recognised for his aggressive kickboxing, he has continued improving his ground game and now aims to build on his recent success.
Embombe, who trains at RAW Combination FTC under coach Rodrique Kena, is searching for his first professional victory. The 23-year-old possesses an aggressive striking style and will be eager to secure a breakthrough win against an experienced opponent.
The matchup also highlights the continued development of talent emerging from Pretoria’s Mamelodi Warriors camp.
Lamprecht Meets Veteran Gumbi

Another standout contest on the EFC 136 card sees teenage sensation Coenie “The Prophecy” Lamprecht take on Zimbabwean veteran Lecture “The Mafia” Gumbi.
At only 19 years old, Lamprecht has already established himself as one of EFC’s brightest flyweight prospects. After winning an EFC Contender Series contract and impressing early in his professional career, he suffered a narrow split-decision loss to Sisa Jungula at the EFC Knox Series. Now, he returns determined to get back into the win column.
Representing Valhalla MMA under coach Shane Carr, Lamprecht is renowned for his elite Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and dangerous submission game, while continuing to sharpen his boxing and striking arsenal.
His opponent, Lecture Gumbi, brings valuable experience and resilience into the contest. Fighting out of TopGun MMA under coach Steve Maphosa, the Zimbabwean veteran is known for his aggressive boxing, knockout power and improved defensive grappling, making him a dangerous challenge for any flyweight.
The bout presents a classic stylistic battle between Lamprecht’s world-class grappling and Gumbi’s proven striking ability and experience.
