October 10 @ 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
South African spinning is getting a new look.
On 10 October 2026, KwaMagesh in Brakpan will become the centre of a high-energy collision between tyre smoke, sideways action, live entertainment and fashion when HEAT ON THE STREET makes its debut.
Presented by IGNITION TV (DStv 189), the event is powered by Engen Xtreme in association with Midas SA, bringing some of the country’s recognised spinning names together for a day built around the spectacle, personality and culture of the scene.
But this event isn’t stopping at the spinning pitch.

When the Spinning Pitch Becomes a Runway
At the heart of Heat on the Street will be the spinning action, with a lineup featuring Stacey-Lee May, Prince, Mano Dada, Kayla Oliphant, Austin Kruger and Renzo Dada, alongside a wider group of drivers and personalities from the local scene.
The event will also be hosted by Vic Pardal, adding another entertainment layer to an already packed programme.
For fans, the formula is familiar: cars, controlled chaos, tyre smoke and drivers pushing their machines — but the organisers are deliberately adding something different.
The spinning pitch is becoming a runway.
The event will introduce Engen Xtreme Kouture by Carlo Gibson, an upcycled fashion collection inspired by spinners, mechanics and shop stewards.
That connection matters.
Spinning has always carried a strong visual identity. From customised cars and distinctive builds to the personalities surrounding each machine, style is already part of the culture. The fashion showcase simply takes that visual language and puts it into another medium.
Fashion Meets the Mechanics
The Carlo Gibson collection is positioned around upcycling and sustainability, drawing inspiration from the people and working environments that sit behind the spinning culture.
Rather than presenting sustainability as something distant from automotive culture, the collection aims to make it part of the spectacle.
Mechanics, spinners and shop-floor culture become the creative reference point.
That gives Heat on the Street a broader cultural dimension. The event isn’t simply placing fashion beside motorsport-inspired entertainment; it is exploring what happens when two forms of South African street creativity occupy the same space.
A Homegrown Celebration of Spinning
The event arrives shortly after Heritage Month, making its South African identity particularly relevant.
Spinning has developed a significant following through local communities, with its own personalities, language, style and competitive energy. Events like Heat on the Street provide a platform for that culture to be presented to a wider entertainment audience.
The programme promises non-stop spinning battles, live entertainment, the fashion debut and an exclusive announcement from Engen Xtreme.
There is also a sizeable supporting lineup, with names including Skoppas, Vaaitjie, Veejaro, Rio, Sunesh, Eddie Rasta, Yaseen and Jabu, alongside Mano, Renzo, Prince, Tyler, Austin and Kayla.
The sheer range of personalities reinforces the event’s community-driven character.
On 10 October 2026, KwaMagesh will get a front-row seat.
HEAT ON THE STREET is set to turn the spinning pitch into both a battleground and a runway.
