Night Racing Returns to Saldanha Drags 2025

December 5 @ 5:00 pm December 6 @ 11:00 pm

Night Racing Is Back at Saldanha Drags — A Two-Day Festival of Speed and Glory

Night racing is finally making its return as Saldanha Drags brings the heat back to Saldanha Airfield on 5 & 6 December 2025. After months of behind-the-scenes work, countless calls, and a mountain of approvals, the West Coast’s most electrifying motorsport event is roaring back to life — bigger, louder, and built for one thing only: RIDE FOR GLORY.

This year, Saldanha Drags is delivering a full two-day racing festival, giving fans and drivers twice the adrenaline and twice the action.

Friday Night: Quarter-Mile Racing Under the Lights

The festival kicks off on Friday as gates open at 5PM, setting the stage for an electric night of ¼ mile drags. Under the floodlights, engines scream, tyres warm, and the atmosphere becomes nothing short of iconic. It’s the perfect warm-up for the high-stakes battles to follow on Saturday.

Saturday: 800m Top-End Battles

Saturday delivers raw speed and pure bravery with 800m top-end duels — the battlefield where boost, power, and fearless driving meet. This is where legends are forged and records fall.

At the last Saldanha Drags event, Jerome hit a blistering top speed of 315.49 km/h. With Night Racing returning, the big question is: who will take that number down this December? Fans are already placing their bets and tagging their favourite drivers.
