The Competition Format

The Red Bull BC One Cypher follows a head-to-head battle format, where breakers go round-for-round, impressing the judges with their unique style, musicality, creativity, and technical mastery. Each battle is an electrifying display of strength, agility, and originality, as dancers pull out their best moves to outshine their opponents.

City Cypher Winners

This year’s South African Cyphers took place in three major cities—Johannesburg, Gqeberha, and Cape Town—where breakers went all out to secure their spot at the National Final. Here are the champions from each city:

  • Johannesburg: B-Boy Swae V & B-Girl Baily
  • Gqeberha: B-Boy Da Vinci & B-Girl Lisa
  • Cape Town: B-Boy Chillo & B-Girl Funky Child

These dancers battled through intense rounds, proving themselves against the best in their regions. Their victory earns them a place in the Red Bull BC One South Africa National Final, where they will compete for a chance to represent the country on the world stage.
