The unique street dance event returns to South Africa with regional qualifiers took place from June to July in 7 regions across the country. The winners from each qualifier have secure a spot at the South African National Final Weekender, which will take place on the 1 & 2 September, where they will battle it out to see who will be crowned the Red Bull Dance Your Style South Africa 2023 winner.
Red Bull Dance Your Style is a dance battle that brings people together to celebrate dance, music, and performance. It aims to recreate the lively social party atmosphere from which all street dance styles originate. The competition welcomes dancers from various street-style disciplines for a mixed, all-style one-on-one battle. It is an electrifying street dance showdown with spontaneous music, crowd-voting, and vibrant dance personalities. The unique competition format relies heavily on the DJ and the audience. The DJ curates a playlist featuring different genres of music to test the dancers’ versatility in adapting their dance styles to the beat. The audience acts as the judging panel, using voting cards to determine the winners of each battle round.
