Stance Social 2026: Where Cars Meet Amapiano

November 7 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 pm

South Africa’s automotive culture is gearing up for another celebration as Stance Social by Mr JazziQ returns to Alexandra for its 2026 edition, bringing modified cars, Amapiano, spinning and lifestyle entertainment together under one roof — or, more accurately, one massive outdoor gathering.

Hosted at Kwa-Bhekilanga Sports Ground in Alexandra, the event celebrates a community where automotive creativity and music culture share the same space. Whether arriving behind the wheel of a carefully modified machine or attending on foot, enthusiasts are invited to experience a lifestyle built around individuality, sound and self-expression.

More Than a Car Show: A Culture on Display

Stance Social has a clear identity: low cars, loud sound systems and a crowd that understands the work behind a standout build. Its appeal stretches beyond traditional motorsport, bringing together enthusiasts who see their vehicles as extensions of their personalities.

The car is the canvas, the build is the statement, and the community is the audience.

From carefully selected wheel setups and aggressive fitment to customised interiors, paintwork and lighting, the event places personal creativity at the centre of the experience. It also creates space for crews to showcase their collective identity, turning individual builds into a wider celebration of South African automotive culture.

The 2026 programme includes automotive brand activations, lifestyle exhibitions and competitions designed to recognise different aspects of the scene. For enthusiasts, it is an opportunity to compare ideas, connect with fellow builders and see how far the craft can be pushed.

The Details That Separate a Build From the Rest

Stance, fitment and presentation take centre stage

The competition categories reflect the variety of skills and styles found within the modified-car community.

The stance and fitment division includes awards for Best Stance, Best Fitment, Best Air Suspension, Best Static Lowest Car, Best Wheel Setup, Best Tucked Fitment and Best Camber. Builders can also compete for Best Overall Build and take on the Low Limbo challenge.

The style and presentation categories widen the spotlight to the finer details. Clean builds, custom paint, wraps, interiors, engine bays, boot setups and lighting all receive recognition, alongside Best Custom/Unique Build, Best of Show and Crowd’s Favourite.

These categories underline an important part of the scene: a memorable car is not defined by one modification alone. The overall result depends on how the different elements work together, from the stance and proportions to the finish and presentation.

The event also features an Undlalo Wamanzi category covering a range of vehicle types and distinctive setups, including vans, people carriers, Quantum builds, T3s and OEM+ cars. Its extensive class list gives the competition a distinctly local flavour, reflecting the variety of vehicles that enthusiasts bring into the culture.

Mr JazziQ Brings Music Into the Mix

Automotive culture is only one half of the Stance Social experience. Music plays an equally important role, with Amapiano icon Mr JazziQ set to perform alongside fellow DJs and artists.

The programme promises a full day of music and live entertainment, complemented by food trucks, fashion stalls and lifestyle vendors. The result is an event designed to keep people engaged even when they are not inspecting a build or waiting for a competition result.

For Amapiano fans, the gathering offers a chance to experience the genre in a setting that connects music with fashion, cars and township lifestyle. For the automotive community, it creates an opportunity to engage with a wider audience and introduce more people to the creativity behind the scene.

That crossover is central to the event’s identity. Cars bring enthusiasts together, music creates the atmosphere, and shared interests turn the gathering into a community experience.

Alexandra Takes Centre Stage

Kwa-Bhekilanga Sports Ground, on Far East Bank Street in Alexandra, will host the 2026 edition. The location places the event within a Johannesburg township with a rich cultural identity, giving the gathering a setting that aligns naturally with its blend of local creativity, music and automotive expression.

Tickets start at R150, with organisers advising that availability is limited. If tickets sell out in advance, no tickets will be sold at the gate.

Stance cars will be screened on entry, and organisers have also made clear that illegal spinning outside designated areas is not permitted. These rules are important for keeping the gathering organised and ensuring that the action remains within designated spaces.

The event is open to everyone, whether they own a modified vehicle or simply appreciate the culture. Families, creatives, car clubs and music lovers are all part of the intended audience.

A Meeting Point for South Africa’s Car and Music Communities

Stance Social 2026 brings together several worlds that increasingly overlap: automotive customisation, Amapiano, fashion, content creation and lifestyle entertainment.

For builders, it is a platform to showcase their work. For crews, it is a chance to represent their identity. For creatives and brands, it offers opportunities to connect with an audience passionate about the culture.

Ultimately, the appeal goes beyond the lowest suspension setup or the loudest sound system. It is about the people who invest their time, skill and personality into the scene — and the connections formed when that passion is shared.

With Mr JazziQ leading the musical charge, Stance Social is preparing to bring Alexandra’s car and music communities together for a celebration of South African expression.

Low is the law, but community is what brings the culture to life.
