The MoonPay X Games League will make its Canadian debut at WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta, from February 19–21, 2027, as the inaugural Winter Season continues its international run.
Following the opening stop at Buttermilk in Aspen, Colorado, Calgary will become the second stage in the new season-long club championship, bringing elite skiers and snowboarders to one of North America’s established winter-sports destinations.
The Championship Race Intensifies
Four clubs — XC Golden State, XC New York, XC Park City and XC Whistler — will compete throughout the Winter Season, with athletes earning points for their clubs alongside their individual performances.
With Aspen opening the campaign and Ruka, Finland, waiting for the April finale, Calgary represents a crucial middle chapter in the race for the first-ever XGL Winter Championship.
The club format adds another layer to X Games competition, giving athletes and fans a reason to follow results beyond a single weekend.
Calgary Brings Action and Music
The Calgary stop will combine high-level winter sports with live entertainment, continuing the X Games League‘s festival-style approach.
Levity will perform on Friday night, while legendary DJ and producer Steve Aoki will headline Saturday.
The combination of competition and music is designed to bring athletes, fans and the wider winter-sports community together both on and off the mountain.
A New Canadian Chapter for X Games
Calgary’s event marks the first-ever X Games competition in Canada, adding a significant new destination to the organisation’s winter calendar.
WinSport’s Canada Olympic Park brings its Olympic legacy and established winter-sports culture to the league, providing a different environment for athletes as the championship battle develops.
After Calgary, the Winter Season will head to Ruka, Finland, from April 9–11, where the inaugural XGL Winter champions will be crowned.
For the four clubs, every result in Calgary will count toward that final championship push.
The X Games League’s Canadian chapter arrives February 19–21, with the Winter Championship race gathering speed.
