SUMMARY:2024 UCI Mountain Bike World Championship - Pal Arinsal/Vallnord\, Andorra
DESCRIPTION:Andorra is a principality nestled in the heart of the Pyrenees famed for international sport. During the summer\, Pal Arinsal is synonymous with mountain bike and has been one of the traditional venues for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. This site has hosted the World Cup since 2008 alongside the World Championships in 2015. For years\, it has hosted the Cross-country Short Track (XCC)\, Downhill (DHI) and Cross-country Olympic (XCO). It is the highest altitude usually faced throughout the season making all three a unique challenge. \nThe Pal Arinsal Bike Park is well known in the world of mountain biking and in 2021 it opened a completely new downhill track which is 2.1km in length\, starting from Pic del Cubil and arriving at Fontanals. As for the Cross-country circuits\, these have also been modified with the full-sized XCO track now measuring 4km in length.  \nIn 2024\, Pal Arinsal will once again host the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships with XCC\, XCO\, DHI and\, for the first time\, e-Bike. \nVisit event website link below for ticket information.

SUMMARY:UCI Mountain Bike World Championships 2023 – Fort William
DESCRIPTION:It’s all downhill in Fort William where riders take on jumps\, bumps\, berms and rock gardens against the clock at white-knuckle speeds of up to 80km/h. \nThe most fearless will bomb their runs. Others will bail. Only the fastest will win the Rainbow Jersey. \n\n\n\n\n\nHOW IT WORKS\n\n\n\nThe course at Fort William is one of the most mentally and technically challenging there is. \nStretching to 2.8 km long\, it drops 550m and every single rock on the way down could potentially end a rider’s run… and there are a lot of rocks. \nRiders need to be strong\, fit and fearless just to make it through the qualifying rounds. For the finals\, the drama keeps rising as they make their way down in reverse order of qualifying quickness and fractions of a second determine their fates. \nYou definitely don’t want to miss the legendary Fort William finish\, where a huge crowd waits to welcome each and every rider that masters the mountain. \n
