But only 500 will qualify for Sunday’s legendary Red Bull Hare Scramble\, a 35km gauntlet of boulders\, steep forest climbs\, and treacherous single track. Of those\, only a few will ever taste the glory of crossing the finish line. \n\n\n\nThe Prologue: Mayhem on the Mountain \n\n\n\nFriday and Saturday feature the infamous Iron Road Prologue\, a 10-minute sprint up a network of twisting gravel roads leading to the top of the mountain. It’s fast\, dusty\, and full of surprises. \n\n\n\nFrom 8am\, the pros take off in pursuit of the best time\, but it’s not just about elite athletes — it’s an all-day spectacle. The event features a prologue race\, which determines the starting order for the main event on Sunday. The IRON ROAD PROLOGUE takes riers way up the gravel road – full speed – 13\,5 km long. The best 500 riders – fastest run only – qualify for the main event. \nThe Iron Giant track is known for its steep and rugged terrain\, with steep uphill and downhill sections\, rocky terrain\, and challenging obstacles. It is considered one of the toughest and most prestigious Hard Enduro tracks in the world\, and only a small percentage of riders are able to complete the full course within the allotted time. \n
