EFC KNOX Legacy Series Opens Tickets With Accessible Pricing for Cape Town Fans

Tickets for the inaugural EFC KNOX Legacy Series are officially on sale, introducing a tiered pricing structure designed to make elite mixed martial arts accessible to as many fans as possible while maintaining the premium live experience the organisation is known for.

Presented by EFC in partnership with KNOX Hydrate and the City of Cape Town, and led by South Africa’s first UFC champion Dricus du Plessis, the event reflects a shared commitment to growing MMA through world-class live competition.

In a significant move to broaden access, upper-level tickets at the GrandWest Grand Arena are priced at just R20, offering an affordable entry point for fans eager to experience top-tier MMA in person. All ticket holders will also receive a complimentary KNOX Hydration drink on arrival, made possible through the support of KNOX Hydrate and the City of Cape Town.

A Vision Rooted in Accessibility

Dricus du Plessis emphasised the importance of live events in shaping future champions, noting that his own journey began in the stands at an EFC event.

“From the first day I watched the sport, it was at a live EFC event. I walked into the arena and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, and I knew I needed to be there. I want more people to have that opportunity. This vision is about giving back to the sport that gave me everything.”

said du Plessis

EFC President Cairo Howarth added that accessible ticketing is central to the event’s purpose.

“We want this event to be open to everyone who wants to be part of it. Making sure fans can fill the arena and experience it live is incredibly important to us.”

Cape Town Executive Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis highlighted the city’s enthusiasm and long-term vision for hosting global sporting events.

“There is a huge fan base in Cape Town, and we know this event will be supported locally and broadcast nationally and internationally. Events like this help show that Cape Town can host world-class combat sports at the highest level.”

KNOX Hydrate co-founder Ethan Hughes described the Legacy Series as more than a single fight night.

“The Knox Legacy Series is not just another night of fights. It’s a celebration of the legacy of the sport and the opportunities it has created.”
