EFC 129 Results: Allen Earns Title Shot After Dominant Victory

EFC 129 delivered an electrifying night of mixed martial arts action at the World Sports Betting Arena, as former featherweight champion Boyd Allen reminded the MMA world why he remains one of the most technically gifted fighters in EFC history.

In the main event, Allen stopped Vince Bembe in the very first round of their featherweight contender bout, showcasing clinical composure and precision striking. He controlled the exchanges from the opening bell before finishing Bembe with strikes at 4:18 of Round 1, earning a statement victory that cements his status as the next challenger for Billy Oosthuizen’s EFC Featherweight Championship in 2026.

The co-main event saw Steven Goncalves put on a grappling masterclass, submitting Guide Moyo in the opening round with a slick rear naked choke. Meanwhile, heavyweight powerhouse Terrence Born made an emphatic statement, stopping Sholto Luiters in just 38 seconds with a devastating display of knockout power.

Elsewhere on the main card, Cole Henning dominated Christopher Matukane en route to a unanimous decision victory, and Moses Mokhari impressed with a first-round submission over Sibusiso Sovendle.

The preliminary card also delivered plenty of excitement, featuring unanimous decision wins for Nerik Simoes, Dauda Rajabu, and Bruce Mayasi, along with impressive stoppages from Godfrey Mkhwanazi and Mfanafuthi Ngobese.
