Dezzi Drags Adds Motorcycle Class for 18 July Showdown at Dezzi Raceway
Following overwhelming demand from riders across the country, Dezzi Raceway has officially added a Motorcycle Class to the highly anticipated Dezzi Drags event taking place on Saturday, 18 July 2026.
The addition means South Africa‘s quickest motorcycles will now line up alongside some of the nation’s fastest drag cars, creating an action-packed day of straight-line racing at one of the country’s premier motorsport venues.
The event has already generated significant excitement among competitors, with organisers confirming that bike entries are officially open. Riders are encouraged to secure their place early and prepare to test their machines against the country’s best.
Car entries are also open, with the event limited to 60 race-ready vehicles to ensure a premium, well-managed racing environment. Entry costs R1,950 per vehicle, which includes admission for one driver and two pit crew members. Spaces will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis once payment has been received and all documentation has been completed.
Competitors must complete the official entry form before payment confirmation. No vehicles will be accepted without prior approval, completed documentation, and proof of payment.
The event is strictly reserved for race-ready vehicles, with organisers making it clear that there will be no time allocated for last-minute vehicle preparation or dyno testing on race day.

Safety remains a top priority. A compulsory drivers’ briefing will be held, while scrutineering will follow Motorsport South Africa (MSA) regulations. All drivers are required to wear helmets, gloves, and long-sleeved clothing while on track, with competitors running methanol-powered vehicles required to wear full race suits.
Environmental regulations will also be enforced, including mandatory oil spill mats in pit areas and strict penalties for oil spills.
To ensure accurate race results, Dezzi Raceway will utilise the latest Race America timing system, delivering professional timing throughout the event. Should weather interfere, Sunday has been reserved as the official rain date.
Spectators can enjoy the day’s racing for R100, while children under the age of 10 receive free entry. Tickets will be available at the gate.
Whether you’re a rider, racer, or motorsport fan, Dezzi Drags 2026 promises an unforgettable day of high-speed competition as South Africa‘s fastest bikes and cars battle it out down the strip.
