March 8 @ 2:30 am – 7:00 am
The Ultimate Test: RockShox Kārearea Downhill
The Downhill showdown at Crankworx Rotorua 2025 will see the world’s fastest racers take on Skyline Rotorua’s intense track in the RockShox Kārearea Downhill. Returning to its full festival format, the event promises unparalleled excitement as elite riders tackle technical descents and high-speed sections on Rotorua’s legendary dirt.

New Zealand’s downhill dominance is in full force, with reigning RockShox Taniwha Downhill champion Lachie Stevens-McNab and Tuhoto-Ariki Pene, fresh off a New Zealand Championship win, ready to take on the field. Australian Ryan Gilchrist, the 2024 King of Crankworx, aims to extend his reign, while British powerhouse Laurie Greenland and four-time Enduro World Series champion Richie Rude (USA) add international firepower to the competition.
With the festival now fully reinstated at Skyline Rotorua, fans can expect an electrifying race atmosphere. Whether you’re watching in person or tuning in via streamint, the RockShox Kārearea Downhill at Crankworx Rotorua 2025 (March 5-9) is set to deliver pure downhill racing at its finest.
