Round three of the 2024 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship at the Xross Hard Enduro Rally in Serbia concluded with Red Bull Leader Tread’s Wade Young (GASGAS) securing a hard-fought victory. Young’s triumph over Sherco Factory Racing’s Teodor Kabakchiev and GASGAS’s Michael Walkner marks a significant milestone in his championship campaign.

Entering the final day with a nine-minute and 24-second lead over Kabakchiev, Young had the advantage but faced a grueling challenge. Despite Kabakchiev’s relentless pursuit, which saw him cut the gap to just over three minutes, Young held firm. With temperatures soaring above 30 degrees Celsius, the course was slightly eased by the organizers, but the final day still demanded over three and a half hours of intense riding.

Young’s consistent performance on the last two sectors ensured his victory, crossing the finish line as the round three winner and taking the lead in the championship standings. Kabakchiev’s efforts on Offroad Day Three earned him the day’s win, but he settled for second overall, just two minutes and 42 seconds behind Young after nearly 13 hours of racing. Austria’s Michael Walkner secured the final podium spot with a solid ride.

Roman finished fourth, while Cyprian’s fifth place marked his best result in the championship to date. Graham Jarvis (Husqvarna) and James Moore (GASGAS) finished seventh and eighth respectively, with Matthew Green (KTM) rounding out the top ten.
