Chase Sexton Takes Commanding Win at East Rutherford Supercross, Seth Hammaker Tops 250SX Class
Round 14 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season delivered high-octane drama at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. In front of a roaring crowd, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Chase Sexton delivered a masterclass in domination, leading the 450SX Main Event from the drop of the gate and stretching his lead to over 18 seconds—securing his fifth win of the season and reigniting his title chase.

Sexton’s explosive Holeshot gave him a clear track and a chance to showcase his rhythm, particularly in the treacherous whoop sections that had other riders struggling. With just three rounds remaining, Sexton now sits nine points behind the championship leader and has his sights firmly set on the title.
“It really just felt like it was effortless for me… Fifth win of the season, so just try to keep truckin’ and focus week in/week out,”.
Sexton said after the race
Behind him, Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Cooper Webb, the current series leader, found himself playing catch-up. Despite a strong start, Webb couldn’t match Sexton’s pace in the rutted conditions and had to settle for second place.
“He rode awesome… He kicked my butt. We’ll go back, regroup,”.
Webb admitted
Aaron Plessinger of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing completed the podium, surviving a tense battle with Justin Barcia before Barcia’s late crash opened the door for Plessinger to take third.
“These guys were on another level… Third’s good, five podiums now, and we’re going to finish this season off strong,”.
said Plessinger
Seth Hammaker Grabs 250SX Class Victory and Points Lead
In the Eastern Regional 250SX Class, it was Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Seth Hammaker who shined brightest. Leading from start to finish, Hammaker secured his second win of the season and became the first repeat winner in the division. The victory also gave him sole possession of the red plate and the points lead heading into the final two rounds.
“I got sick on Tuesday night… but thankfully I was able to put in clean, consistent laps,”.
said Hammaker, who overcame illness to triumph in New Jersey
RJ Hampshire of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing stayed close but never posed a real threat to Hammaker, finishing second and keeping himself in the title hunt.
“I closed in some and then I’d make a mistake… I’ll be better next weekend,” .
Hampshire said optimistically
Rounding out the podium was defending champion Tom Vialle of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, who made a solid recovery from two difficult rounds to finish third.
