In one of the most emphatic events in Extreme Fighting Championship (EFC) history, African fighters delivered a clean sweep over their Brazilian challengers at EFC 123: Africa’s Best vs Brazil. Held at the World Sports Betting Arena in Johannesburg on 8 May, the event featured 12 thrilling bouts, including three championship title fights, all claimed by the homegrown heroes.
From the opening prelim to the explosive main event, the atmosphere was electric—and the results left no doubt about the rising dominance of African mixed martial arts.

Triple Title Glory for Africa
In the main event, JC Lamprecht cemented his legacy by submitting Brazil’s Édson Silva via guillotine choke just before the end of Round 1, defending his Light Heavyweight Championship in brutal fashion.

Earlier on the card, undefeated phenom Willie “The White Lion” van Rooyen wasted no time in claiming the vacant Men’s Flyweight Championship, knocking out veteran Kleberson Sousa just 37 seconds into the first round.
