Round 4 of the 2025 South African National Motocross Championship tore through Thunder Valley at Maritzburg MX this past weekend, bringing electrifying action and championship drama to Pietermaritzburg. With the iconic KwaZulu-Natal circuit playing host, fans were treated to incredible rides, tight battles, and dominant performances—especially from the Red Bull KTM squad, who turned their home race into a statement of power and intent.

MX1 – Durow Reclaims Control

Local favourite Cameron Durow was flawless in the premier MX1 class, going 1-1 to clinch the overall victory and regain the championship lead. Riding with precision and purpose, Durow didn’t put a wheel wrong as he stormed ahead of rivals Jayden Proctor and Ethan Hoffman.

“Racing at home, in front of our supporters, and being able to go 1-1 in MX1 and get the points lead back—it doesn’t get much better than that,”.

Trey Cox, fresh off his 125cc dominance, rounded off the podium with a 4-2 performance.

“It was a bit of a tough day, but I’m stoked on the outcome and can’t wait to see what Cape Town has in store,” said Grundy.
