Red Bull KTM Turns Up the Heat in Cape Town’s Mud Bath
The Fifth Round of the 2025 South African National Motocross Championship at Zone 7 in Cape Town served up some of the gnarliest conditions of the season, with cold temperatures and heavy rain transforming the sandy circuit into a muddy battlefield. But despite the challenging weather, Red Bull KTM emerged in top form, securing major podium finishes.

Track owner Johann Spies and his crew earned praise for prepping a safe, rideable course under difficult conditions. From wet, compacted sections to slick corners, riders had to dig deep to handle the demanding track.
Cameron Durow Shines in MX1 & MX2
In MX1, Red Bull KTM’s Cameron Durow set the tone early, topping qualifying and controlling Moto 1 for a dominant win. A crash in Moto 2 pushed him to the back, but he clawed his way back to P3, securing the overall win (1-3).
In MX2, Durow again showed his speed, finishing second overall after small mistakes cost him the win (2-3).
“Moto 1 went perfectly, I felt good and controlled the race. Moto 2 was tough after the crash, but I’m happy to salvage P3 and the overall.”
