As the final event before the WSL Finals Fiji, the Tahiti Pro also confirmed the top five men and women surfers who will compete for the 2025 world title in a one-day showdown at Cloudbreak from August 27 to September 4, broadcast live on Red Bull TV.

Women’s Final: Picklum Powers to Victory

Molly Picklum defeated American Caitlin Simmers to win her first Tahiti Pro, extending her lead in the Championship Tour rankings and cementing her reputation as one of the best backhand tuberiders on the women’s tour. This marks Picklum’s second event win of the season, following five finals appearances in 2025.

“What a special place, Tahiti. You feel all the energy. It’s just so nice. I’m staring at the mountains right now and staring into perfect blue. It’s where the dream comes alive. And Fiji’s next; I’m gonna enjoy it for what it is. I finished number one this year and that’s a massive step in the right direction.”
