3 Mins read

X Games Aspen 2026 Day Two turned up the heat despite challenging weather conditions, as the world’s best action sports athletes delivered progression, precision and historic moments across five elite competitions: Jeep Men’s Ski Slopestyle Final, Stake Women’s Snowboard Big Air Final, Stake Men’s Snowboard Big Air Final, Men’s Ski Knuckle Huck Final and the highly anticipated Monster Energy Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe Final.

Due to weather delays, the Stake Women’s Ski Big Air Final has been rescheduled for Sunday 25 January 2026.

Jeep Men’s Ski Slopestyle Final

After a weather-delayed morning, competition finally got underway with a stacked field of Olympians and X Games medalists. Judging focused on creativity and line choice, while fresh snowfall made speed control a challenge. The format was adjusted to best of two runs due to delays.

Fresh off a silver medal in Knuckle Huck the night before, Luca Harrington (NZL) delivered a clutch performance to claim his second consecutive X Games Ski Slopestyle gold medal. The 21-year-old was the only athlete to land a triple cork, executing it twice and jumping from fourth place into first with a score of 94.33.

Harrington now boasts four medals from four X Games starts, with two golds in Slopestyle and two silvers in Big Air.

  • 🥇 Gold: Luca Harrington (NZL)
  • 🥈 Silver: Colby Stevenson (USA)
  • 🥉 Bronze: Alex Hall (USA)

“It’s absolutely incredible. This is one of the biggest events of the year against some of the best athletes in the world. To be standing on the top means everything to me.”

Stake Women’s Snowboard Big Air Final

The women’s Big Air final delivered one of the most historic moments of X Games Aspen 2026.

Five-time X Games gold medalist Cocomo Murase (JPN) stunned the crowd by landing the first-ever backside 1620 triple cork by a woman in competition, earning a near-perfect 96.66. Visibly emotional, Murase celebrated through tears as the crowd erupted.

  • 🥇 Gold: Cocomo Murase (JPN)
  • 🥈 Silver: Zoi Sadowski-Synnott (NZL)
  • 🥉 Bronze: Mia Brooks (GBR)

Winning Trick: Backside triple cork 1440

“Three years ago I couldn’t put it down, so this time I’m just really stoked to pull it off.”

Stake Men’s Snowboard Big Air Final

Defending champion Hiroto Ogiwara (JPN) once again proved untouchable in Big Air, landing his signature backside 2340 melon to score 93.66 and secure back-to-back X Games Big Air gold medals.

Ogiwara remains the only snowboarder in history to land a 2340 in competition.

  • 🥇 Gold: Hiroto Ogiwara (JPN)
  • 🥈 Silver: Rocco Jamieson (NZL)
  • 🥉 Bronze: Kira Kimura (JPN)

“Maybe it’s a bit easier than last year. Next year, I’m definitely hitting a backside 2520.”

Men’s Ski Knuckle Huck Final

The fan-favorite Knuckle Huck once again delivered creativity and chaos in a 20-minute jam session judged on overall impression.

Alex Hall (USA) claimed his third Knuckle Huck gold medal, becoming the first skier to win the event three times and earning his 13th overall X Games medal.

  • 🥇 Gold: Alex Hall (USA)
  • 🥈 Silver: Colby Stevenson (USA)
  • 🥉 Bronze: Tormod Frostad (NOR)

Winning Highlights:

Monster Energy Men’s Snowboard SuperPipe Final

All eyes were on Scotty James (AUS)—and he delivered in historic fashion. James claimed his eighth X Games gold medal and fifth consecutive SuperPipe victory, tying Shaun White and Chloe Kim for the most X Games gold medals across skiing and snowboarding.

James sealed the win with a never-before-seen back-to-back backside 1440 combination, earning a 95.00 on his final run.

  • 🥇 Gold: Scotty James (AUS)
  • 🥈 Silver: Haku Shimasaki (JPN)
  • 🥉 Bronze: Schuichiro Shigeno (JPN)

“I wanted to do something for myself and for halfpipe and push backside riding as much as I can. I wanted to come out and do the first ever back-to-back backside 14s.”
