X Games Launches “Dropping In” Docuseries

2 Mins read

The X Games has officially pulled back the curtain on the lives of the world’s biggest action sports stars with the launch of “Dropping In,” an all-new four-part documentary series that gives fans unprecedented behind-the-scenes access to the inaugural MoonPay X Games League.

Premiered on 24 June 2026, the series follows some of the biggest names in skateboarding and BMX, including Nyjah Huston, Sky Brown, Chloe Covell, Arisa Trew, Gui Khury, Ryan Williams, and many more as they prepare for the first-ever professional team-based X Games competition.

Produced by Front Office Sports Studios and directed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Pat Dimon (Scotty James: Pipe Dream, 100 Days to Indy, Full Swing, and Rebound), Dropping In explores far more than competition. The series showcases the personal journeys, sacrifices, friendships, rivalries, travel, training, family life, and relentless pursuit of greatness that define the athletes shaping the future of action sports.

A New Era for Action Sports

The MoonPay X Games League introduces a fresh professional team format featuring clubs representing Los Angeles, New York, São Paulo, and Tokyo. As athletes are drafted into teams and begin competing under a franchise model, fans gain a unique look at the personalities driving the sport beyond the medals and highlight reels.

Jeremy Bloom, CEO of X Games, believes the series captures something fans have been waiting to see.

“Every major sport eventually realized the same thing: people don’t fall in love with leagues. They fall in love with people. For thirty years, X Games has showcased some of the most talented athletes on the planet. What fans haven’t seen are the stories behind them—the sacrifices, the rivalries, the personalities, and the pressure. Dropping In is about the humans behind the highlights and the athletes helping build the future of action sports in real time.”

Director Pat Dimon said bringing the series to life was a dream project.

“As a lifelong fan of the X Games and all of its athletes, working with Jeremy and the team was a dream come true. The new league and team format allows us to go behind the scenes with both new and veteran athletes, each with their own incredible story. It’s truly an international league featuring male and female superstars across every discipline.”

Episode One: The Draft

The opening episode, “The Draft,” introduces viewers to the historic first-ever MoonPay X Games League Draft.

The world’s elite skateboarders and BMX riders gather as the four franchise teams assemble their inaugural rosters. Careers are transformed, rivalries are born, and a new chapter in action sports begins.

Since its premiere on 24 June, Episode One has generated excitement among fans eager to experience the personalities behind some of the sport’s biggest names.

With exclusive access, compelling storytelling, and a cast featuring the world’s best action sports athletes, Dropping In promises to become essential viewing for fans wanting to experience the emotion, pressure, and passion behind the competition.
