The 2023 Red Bull BC One World Final is heading to the iconic Stade Roland-Garros in Paris this weekend with the world’s best b-girls and b-boys set to unleash their best and groundbreaking moves to try and win the breaking’s most coveted title. Here is all you need to know:
After one-on-one competition qualifiers all around the world this year, the field has been trimmed down and wildcards dished out with the remaining few breakers hoping to qualify at the Last Chance Cypher.
The final qualifier takes place in the days before the actual World Final with every Cypher winner contesting a showcase battle which the judges use to pick the best 16 breakers to advance to the next stage, who then battle it out in knockout battles until the final qualifying spots are filled.
The Last Chance Cypher countries are Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Portugal, Austria, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Taiwan, Belgium, India, Canada, Pakistan, Switzerland, Italy, Türkiye, France, Spain, Venezuela, China, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, UK, USA, Morocco, Japan, Australia and South Korea.
The 2023 Red Bull BC One World Final itself on October 21 at Stade Roland-Garros sees the wildcards go directly to the top 16, while the national champions will compete in the Last Chance Cypher.
