The FIA World Rallycross Championship will return to Finland in 2025, with Kymiring securing a long-term agreement to host the Finnish round.
Announced on Thursday, 19 September in Finland’s capital Helsinki at a media event attended by World RX regular Niclas Grönholm, the return marks the first occasion World RX will take place in the Nordic country since 2020.
Located close to the city of Kouvola, 150km north-east of Helsinki, Kymiring will be used in the world championship for the first time as part of an ambitious project spearheaded by TRP Hungary in alignment with the Finnish ASN, AKK.
The agreement puts Kymiring on the World RX calendar for at least the next three seasons, giving Finnish fans a first-hand experience of the thrilling Battle of Technologies.
“Our vision is to develop and operate the leading sports and entertainment centre in the Nordic and the Baltic region, with the FIA World Rallycross Championship playing a major role.
Kymiring CEO Kornél Őry said of the announcement:

Finland has a strong history in rallycross, the country having produced a number of FIA European Champions and with Grönholm a leading contender in the FIA World Rallycross Championship in recent years.
