Red Bull BC One was born in Biel, Switzerland in 2004 as a game-changer for the breaking scene with 16 invited b-boys competing in a 1v1 knockout format to determine the first World Final champion.

Red Bull BC One has since gone on to be the premier global platform for breakers to showcase their skills, push the art form to its limits and propel breaking into international fame with 16 b-boys and 16 b-girls making their way through national qualifiers to line up in Brazil’s 2024 World Final.

The Red Bull BC One World Final 2024 featured a lineup of world-class breakers from across the globe including Olympians B-Boy Hiro10, B-Boy Victor and B-Girl Logistx with B-Boy Menno pulling out unstoppable original moves, transitions and flows to beat B-Boy Icey Ives in the final.

Having been crowned the champion in 2014, 2017, 2019 and now 2024, B-Boy Menno is no stranger on the world stage and is the first ever breaker to win the Red Bull BC One World Final belt four times.

“I feel amazing, I’m super happy and still in shock. This title means a lot to me as it’s my fourth belt and no one has got four belts. To be the first to reach that milestone feels incredible.”

The 35-year-old said:

In the b-girl bracket, B-Girl Nicka put up a brilliant fight but it was not enough to convince the judges that she was more powerful than B-Girl India who added brilliantly to her 2022 New York win.

“I’m so happy to win my second Red Bull BC One title here in Rio, it means so much, especially because I have won in the same year as my crew mate and mentor, Menno.”

She said:

One of the event highlights of the night was B-Boy Samuka, who won the crowd over with powerful and impressive moves that wowed the judges before losing out in the semi-finals to eventual winner B-Boy Menno.

Following an unprecedented year for breaking, the Red Bull BC One World Final 2025 will take place in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday 9 November 2025 – the third time the country has hosted it following epic events in 2016 (Nagoya) and 2010 (Tokyo). Tickets are available to buy at www.redbull.com/bcone
