The wait is almost over—Red Bull Hardline UK 2025 is set to deliver another adrenaline-fueled showdown in the rugged Dyfi Valley, North Wales. On the weekend of July 26–27, 32 of the world’s most fearless mountain bike athletes will face one of the sport’s gnarliest challenges, blending hardcore downhill racing with massive freeride elements. The second edition of the now bi-continental event follows the explosive debut of Red Bull Hardline Australia earlier this year.

A Return to Hardline’s Spiritual Home
After a decade of pushing limits, Red Bull Hardline remains a benchmark for what’s possible in mountain biking. Founded by MTB legend Dan Atherton, the course in Machynlleth is notorious for its brutal terrain, towering jumps, slippery root sections, and crowd-favourite features like the Road Gap and Step Up. For 2025, the track remains largely unchanged from last year’s version—meaning the challenge is just as intense.

From Tasmania to Wales: Global Expansion, Same Hardline Energy
Following its expansion into Oceania with Red Bull Hardline Australia in February 2024, the series now boasts two world-class events. The UK edition still holds legendary status, celebrating its roots with a carefully selected invite-only roster of elite men and women in MTB.

Star-Studded Rider Line-Up for 2025
This year’s rider list is stacked with icons, World Cup racers, and rising freeride stars. Among them:
- Jackson Goldstone (CAN) – Fresh off a stunning comeback win in Tasmania, the 21-year-old phenom is looking to reclaim dominance on Welsh soil.
- Gracey Hemstreet (CAN) – The ‘Queen of Red Bull Hardline‘ makes her UK debut and aims to break new ground for female riders.
- Hannah Bergemann (USA) – A freeride powerhouse tackling Hardline one terrifying feature at a time.
- Tahnée Seagrave, Bernard Kerr, Gee Atherton, Matt Jones, Kade Edwards, and more British heavyweights return to test themselves against the infamous Dyfi descent.

The Female Force is Rising
With Gracey Hemstreet, Louise Ferguson, Cami Noguiera, and others stepping up, the 2025 event marks a pivotal moment for women in Hardline.
“I’m going to go into the event by taking my time and only hitting the features that I know I can do 100%. Less risk, the better, as I’ll still have a few more World Cup races to go!”
Hemstreet noted,

“It’s a bit out of my comfort zone. The ultimate goal would be to do a top-to-bottom run.”
Bergemann added,
