The 2025 edition of Crankworx Cairns concluded in spectacular fashion with a jaw-dropping Slopestyle contest at Smithfield MTB Park. Amid tropical sun, gusty winds, and electrifying energy from fans, the final day of action wrapped up a week packed with fast tracks, huge tricks, and unforgettable moments.
Slopestyle Showdown – Round 2 of the FMBA Slopestyle World Championship
With the Slopestyle course in Cairns reimagined to be more natural and flowy, ditching much of the old wooden features, athletes had the perfect canvas to showcase creativity, control, and progression. Each rider had two runs, with the highest-scoring run counting toward their final result — and the results did not disappoint.

Notably absent was Harriet Burbidge-Smith, who withdrew following a crash in practice as she recovers from a neck injury.
Men’s Slopestyle: Tim Bringer’s Breakthrough Victory
French phenom Tim Bringer dropped the hammer with a high-amplitude, trick-stacked run scoring 92.37, marking a major career milestone.
Tim Bringer’s run featured:

Last year’s Triple Crown winner David Godziek gave chase with a 90.5 but couldn’t outdo Bringer, settling for second. Canada’s Chance Moore stunned fans with an 88.37 in his first run, earning him his first SWC podium in third.
Other standout performances included Paul Couderc (4th), Nicholi Rogatkin (5th), and Erik Fedko, who despite a strong effort, finished outside the top three. Sadly, Emil Johansson, a Slopestyle legend, suffered a crash in his first run and was taken to hospital. His condition is stable, and fans around the world are sending support.
Crankworx Cairns 2025 proved once again why it’s one of the most exciting stops on the Crankworx World Tour. With dramatic comebacks, emotional victories, and mind-blowing tricks, this year’s Slopestyle showdown will be remembered as one of the most competitive in recent memory. The tour now looks ahead to the next stop: Crankworx Whistler, where even more history will be made.
