In a thrilling blend of cinematic storytelling and motorsport passion, Hot Wheels® has announced the release of a limited-edition 1:64 scale die-cast car inspired by the upcoming Apple Original Film F1® The Movie. This special collector’s item is modeled after the APXGP Formula 1® car, driven by Brad Pitt’s character, Sonny Hayes, and will be available for pre-order on MattelCreations.com starting June 24, ahead of the film’s global theatrical release on 27 June.
The meticulously crafted die-cast model brings Hollywood drama to the racetrack with its authentic gold and black livery, matching the fictional car from the film. The film, directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick), is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer Films, Plan B Entertainment, and Dawn Apollo Films—the production company of seven-time F1® World Champion Lewis Hamilton. It tells the story of Sonny Hayes, a former rising star in Formula 1, who returns to the sport decades later in a bid to rescue a failing team owned by his old teammate, Ruben Cervantes (played by Javier Bardem). Hayes must race alongside rising rookie Joshua Pearce (played by Damson Idris) while battling ghosts of his past and the intense dynamics of elite motorsport.
