Jett Lawrence Clinches Second 450 Class Championship at Unadilla National, Jo Shimoda Keeps 250 Class Title Hopes Alive in Honda Sweep
The penultimate round of the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing, took place at Central New York’s legendary Unadilla MX. Race 10 of the summer season and Round 27 of the SMX World Championship regular season saw the ELF Lubricants Unadilla National, presented by Clinton Contractor, Anderson Equipment Company, and New York LECET, host a thrilling weekend under sunny skies and mid-80s temperatures.
Honda HRC Progressive’s Jett Lawrence, just one week past his 22nd birthday, secured his second 450 Class Pro Motocross Championship with a flawless 1-1 performance. In the 250 Class, teammate Jo Shimoda delivered a dominant 1-1 finish, keeping his championship hopes alive and giving Honda a complete sweep of the afternoon.

450 Class Highlights
Moto 1:
Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jorge Prado grabbed the Holeshot but was quickly overtaken by RJ Hampshire and Hunter Lawrence. Championship leader Jett Lawrence battled through the pack, reclaiming the lead after a brief off-track mistake. Jett stretched his advantage to claim his 14th moto win of the season by 7.7 seconds over Hunter Lawrence, with Eli Tomac finishing third.

Moto 2:
Hunter Lawrence captured the Holeshot, but Jett Lawrence executed a stunning outside-line move from fourth to first. The brothers traded positions briefly, but Jett maintained the lead to finish 9.3 seconds ahead of Hunter, earning his 43rd career moto win. Eli Tomac completed the podium in third.

Moto 1:
Jo Shimoda surged from the start, taking control of the race and opening a massive lead over Haiden Deegan and Seth Hammaker. Shimoda dominated the moto, finishing 39.7 seconds ahead of Deegan.

Moto 2:
Shimoda again made an early pass to secure the lead, while Deegan methodically worked his way up to third. Shimoda finished 13.4 seconds ahead of Tom Vialle, completing the moto sweep.

Overall 250 Class Results:
