The world’s largest one-on-one breaking competition is set to take center stage at the iconic Stade Roland-Garros in Paris on October 21. The Red Bull BC One 2023 World Final, celebrating its 20th anniversary, will bring together thirty-two of the globe’s top b-boy and b-girl talents in the City of Lights, where they will put their choreographies to the test. After a series of 90 qualifying events across 28 countries, the Red Bull BC One World Final will showcase a mix of dance excellence, spotlighting the pinnacle of power moves, toprock steps, footwork, freezes, and more.
Notable contenders include India, the 2022 B-Girl World Champion, who returns to defend her title for the Netherlands, and Canada‘s Phil Wizard, making his fourth World Final appearance. France‘s B-Boy Dany Dann will be aiming for World Champion status on his home turf as he prepares for his Parisian debut next summer.
The judging panel comprises iconic figures in the breakdancing community, featuring B-Boy Flea Rock from the USA, South Korea‘s B-Boy Kill, and Mexico’s Dr. Hill, a pioneer of hip-hop culture in Latin America. Completing the jury are France‘s Babyson and Spain‘s B-Girl Movie One.
Before the grand showdown at Stade Roland-Garros on October 21, legends of breaking and rising stars from around the world will gather at the Red Bull BC One Camp Paris, held at The Centquatre-Paris, for several days of workshops, panels, and battles.
On October 18, B-Boy Monkey King from Taiwan and international dancers will attempt a daring feat – the World’s First Double Airflare, in collaboration with the Guinness World Records.
The following day will witness the Last Chance Cypher, where over 60 dancers will vie for the remaining spots on the World Final stage.
