The second day of X Games Osaka 2025 at the Kyocera Dome delivered non-stop excitement, as athletes from across the globe wrote new chapters in X Games history. Sunday’s action saw record-setting performances, dramatic comebacks, and emotional first-time golds.

From Gui Khury’s Vert Best Trick dominance to Courage Adams’ breakthrough BMX Street gold, and Arisa Trew’s continued rise as the most decorated female skateboarder in X Games summer history, Sunday proved why X Games remains the pinnacle of action sports.

BMX Street Final: Courage Adams Claims Gold at Last

Spain’s Courage Adams finally reached the top step of the podium, winning his first X Games gold after two straight silvers in 2023 and 2024. His winning run, packed with barspin combos, grinds, manuals, and a final 180 barspin, earned roaring approval from the Osaka crowd. Devon Smilie (USA) took silver, and Jordan Godwin (GBR) added bronze to his collection.

The event also saw 14-year-old Sosuke Hayata become the youngest BMX athlete in X Games history.

BMX Flatland Final: Japanese Riders Sweep the Podium

In a thrilling display of precision and creativity, Japan locked out the BMX Flatland podium. Yohei Uchino captured his long-awaited first X Games gold in front of a passionate hometown crowd. Moto Sasaki and Yu Katagiri, both former gold medalists, completed the all-Japan sweep.

Men’s Skateboard Vert Best Trick: Gui Khury Adds to His Legacy

Brazil’s Gui Khury showed once again why he’s a legend in the making, landing a never-before-seen kickflip body varial 900 to take gold. The 15-year-old is now a seven-time X Games gold medalist, with back-to-back wins in both Vert and Vert Best Trick.

Osaka’s own Moto Shibata wowed with a front foot impossible Lien 540 for silver, while Soya Inomata earned bronze with a never-been-done trick named “Raijin,” after the Japanese god of thunder.

Women’s Skateboard Park: Arisa Trew Becomes Most Decorated Female Summer X Athlete

Australia’s Arisa Trew proved unstoppable, winning her second gold of the weekend and seventh overall. With this win, she officially breaks Leticia Bufoni’s gold record and ties Fabiola da Silva for most summer X golds by a female athlete.

Her tech-heavy run included a kickflip Indy, Madonna on the extension, and switch McTwist, thrilling the Osaka crowd. Sakura Yosozumi and Hinano Kusaki, both from Japan, joined her on the podium.

Monster Energy Men’s Skateboard Street: Kairi Netsuke Claims His First Gold

After finishing second in 2024, Kairi Netsuke stepped up to claim his first X Games gold, showcasing Japanese street dominance. His standout tricks included a heelflip back tailslide to bigspin and a backside heelflip off the plexiglass boat roof.

Rookie Juni Kang made history as the first Korean skateboarder to medal at X Games, earning silver, while Ginwoo Onodera rounded out an impressive Japanese showing with bronze.

Men’s Skateboard Park: Tom Schaar Adds 16th Medal

American Tom Schaar continues to cement his place in X Games history, defending his title in Men’s Skateboard Park and notching his 16th X Games medal. His run included a nosegrab 360 over the box, tailgrab 540, and alley-oop heelflip Indy.

Olympic gold medalist Keegan Palmer took silver, while Tate Carew claimed his first X Games medal with bronze.
