Hunter Lawrence Claims Maiden 450 Class Victory, Deegan Sweeps 250 Class at Ironman Raceway
The 2025 Pro Motocross Championship heated up in Crawfordsville, Indiana, as Ironman Raceway hosted Round 9 of the season and Round 26 of the SMX World Championship. Under hot, humid skies, fans witnessed a wild day of racing that saw Hunter Lawrence (Honda HRC Progressive) earn his first career 450 Class overall victory, while Haiden Deegan (Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing) delivered a flawless 1-1 performance in the 250 Class.

Eli Tomac (Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing) grabbed his first holeshot of the season, leading early ahead of Hunter Lawrence. Title leader Jett Lawrence and defending champion Chase Sexton both suffered opening-lap setbacks—Jett from a gate malfunction penalty and Sexton from a crash. A crash from Sexton ended his race, while Tomac’s late stall handed second back to Hunter. Jett claimed the moto win, but Hunter’s consistent 2-2 scores secured the overall victory—his first in the premier class.
