adidas Skateboarding has unveiled a special collaboration with Thrasher Magazine and the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to celebrate the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026™. The collection brings together football heritage, skateboarding culture, and creative expression in a unique nine-piece capsule inspired by Argentina’s iconic sporting legacy.
The partnership reflects a powerful connection between two worlds that thrive on individuality, rhythm, and innovation. It also pays tribute to Thrasher’s Argentine roots through its founder, Fausto Vitello, who established the influential skateboarding publication in San Francisco in 1981. Since then, Thrasher has become one of the most respected voices in skateboarding culture, helping shape generations of skaters worldwide.
Argentina’s football story is equally legendary. As three-time FIFA World Cup® champions, the nation has built a reputation for producing some of football’s greatest talents, with its 2022 triumph adding another memorable chapter to its history.

The Thrasher x AFA collection combines the visual identities of all three partners. Traditional Argentine colours and AFA-inspired details are featured throughout the apparel range, alongside Thrasher’s unmistakable graphics and adidas Skateboarding’s contemporary design approach.
Leading the collection is a football jersey inspired by Argentina’s iconic 1994 World Cup® kit, the last tournament hosted in the United States. The capsule also includes the recently introduced Glenburn shoe, a soccer-inspired adidas Skateboarding silhouette crafted from leather and suede with a durable dual-layer toe cap designed for both skating and everyday wear.
Additional pieces include a chino pant and hoodie featuring embroidered AFA monograms, graphic T-shirts celebrating Argentina, a reversible bucket hat inspired by football supporters, and special artwork from adidas Skateboarding legend Mark Gonzales showcased on a classic ringer tee and crewneck sweatshirt.

Arriving ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, which will be hosted across North America, the collection serves as a cultural bridge between Argentine and American influences while honouring the global impact of football and skateboarding.
The Thrasher x AFA collection launched on June 3 and is available through adidas South Africa online and at adidas Sandton.
