2025 Pro Motocross Championship Results: Jett Lawrence Wins Spring Creek via Tiebreaker, Jeremy Martin Bids Emotional Farewell with Final Moto Victory

2 Mins read

The 2025 Pro Motocross Championship reached its seventh round under perfect skies at Millville, Minnesota’s iconic Spring Creek MX Park. The FXR Spring Creek National Presented by Frescados Tortillas delivered a thrilling double dose of action, with the Lawrence brothers trading blows in the 450 Class and Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Haiden Deegan grabbing another 250 Class overall win. But the loudest cheers came for Jeremy Martin, who raced the final moto of his decorated career in front of a passionate hometown crowd—and won it.

Jett Lawrence needed a tiebreaker to edge out his older brother and secure a seventh straight premier class victory.

450 Class: Jett vs. Hunter, Round Seven

In the 450 Class, Jett Lawrence continued his staggering dominance, but not without adversity. A crash early in Moto 1 forced the championship leader to charge from 15th to 2nd, while older brother Hunter Lawrence took his first moto win of the season in convincing fashion. In Moto 2, Jett bounced back, grabbing the holeshot and holding off Hunter in a fast-paced duel to take the win—and the overall via tiebreaker.

Hunter Lawrence got his first moto win of the season but had to settle for a fourth consecutive runner-up finish.

With results of 2-1 versus Hunter’s 1-2, Jett secured his seventh consecutive Pro Motocross Championship victory and the 22nd 450 Class win of his career, tying him with legend Rick Johnson for fifth on the all-time list. Chase Sexton (3-3) returned to the podium for the first time in 2025, as he works his way back to full form.

In his second race back, defending champion Chase Sexton finished on the overall podium for the first time this summer.

450 Class Overall Top 3:

  1. Jett Lawrence (2-1) – “I had to dig deep today. Hunter pushed hard, but we kept the streak alive.”
  2. Hunter Lawrence (1-2) – “He’s fast. I just need to be faster.”
  3. Chase Sexton (3-3) – “We’ve got more work to do, but it feels great to be back on the box.”

450 Class Championship Standings (Top 3):

  1. Jett Lawrence – 337 pts
  2. Hunter Lawrence – 286 pts
  3. Justin Cooper – 247 pts

250 Class: Deegan Wins, Martin Steals the Moment

Despite nursing a leg injury, Haiden Deegan stayed strong across both motos to secure his fifth overall win of the season with a 1-2 score. Yet it was Jeremy Martin—two-time champion and Millville native—who owned the moment. After finishing 3rd in Moto 1, Martin rode his final professional moto with grit and heart, leading wire-to-wire to secure the 41st moto win of his illustrious career. His 3-1 finish earned him second overall and the thunderous adoration of his home fans.

Haiden Deegan returned to the top step of the podium for the fifth time this season.

Jo Shimoda (2-4) rounded out the podium, battling through a rear brake issue in Moto 2 to hold onto valuable points.

An incredible final moto by Jeremy Martin resulted in one of the most memorable moments in Pro Motocross history.

250 Class Overall Top 3:

  1. Haiden Deegan (1-2) – “My leg was rough, but we got it done. Huge respect to JMart—what a way to go out.”
  2. Jeremy Martin (3-1) – “To win my last race here, at home, it’s a dream come true.”
  3. Jo Shimoda (2-4) – “Not the easiest second moto, but I’m happy to stay on the podium.”

250 Class Championship Standings (Top 3):

  1. Haiden Deegan – 321 pts
  2. Jo Shimoda – 276 pts
  3. Levi Kitchen / Garrett Marchbanks – 214 pts (tie)

What’s Next?

With just five rounds remaining, the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship intensifies. Jett Lawrence holds firm control of the 450 standings, but Hunter is showing no signs of backing down. In the 250 Class, Deegan continues to extend his title march—but with Shimoda, Kitchen, and Marchbanks looming, anything is possible.
