Valentino Guseli Documentary Volare Chronicles Snowboard Star’s Journey
Australian snowboarding sensation Valentino Guseli is the focus of a powerful new documentary titled Volare, which premiered on Red Bull TV on February 26, 2026. The 44-minute film offers an intimate look into the life, challenges, and resilience of one of the sport’s most versatile young athletes.

At just 20 years old, Guseli has already built an extraordinary résumé. A World Cup Champion, three-time Crystal Globe winner, world record holder, and two-time Olympian, he stands out as one of the rare snowboarders competing at elite level across three disciplines: big air, slopestyle, and halfpipe.

A Story of Family, Flight and Determination
The film’s title, Volare—Italian for “fly”—pays tribute to Guseli’s Italian heritage while symbolizing the aerial artistry that defines his riding style. Beyond the podiums and tricks, the documentary highlights the importance of family in shaping Guseli’s career and mindset.

Viewers are taken behind the scenes of one of the most challenging periods of his career: a potentially career-ending ACL injury suffered in 2024. Instead of letting the setback define him, Guseli adopted a determined mindset.
“My thoughts are that being a victim is the worst way to live. You never want to be a victim of your own circumstances, especially the ones you put yourself in.”
Guseli explains in the film
The documentary captures his long rehabilitation journey and the mental strength required to return to competitive snowboarding.
The Comeback Moment
After 15 months of recovery, Guseli’s comeback moment arrived unexpectedly in Italy. He received a last-minute call to compete in a big air qualification event after Mark McMorris suffered a training crash.

Despite having only a few hours’ notice, Guseli stepped up and attempted a daring Switch Backside 1980 Tailgrab—a trick he had tried only once before his ACL injury.
The bold move paid off. Guseli advanced to the Men’s Snowboard Big Air Final, finishing 10th, and later placed fifth in the halfpipe competition—an impressive performance considering his recent recovery.

Hunger for the Future
For Guseli, the rehabilitation period only strengthened his motivation.
“The amount of hunger and drive that has accumulated within my being through this rehab is insane. I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
he says in the film
That future begins with his return to the FIS Snowboard World Cup circuit in March, where he aims to chase another overall Crystal Globe in the park and pipe category.

The inspiring documentary Volare is now available to stream on Red Bull TV, giving fans an inside look at the mindset and determination required to compete at the highest level of snowboarding.

From his Aussie beginnings to his remarkable comeback after injury, Guseli’s journey is a testament to resilience, passion, and the relentless pursuit of progression in the world of snowboarding.
